Ronald Reagan Commemorative Stamp

During a special ceremony, former First Lady Nancy Reagan joined Postmaster General John E. Potter to unveil the image of the President Ronald Reagan commemorative postage stamp.

The Reagan stamp, honoring the nation's 40th President, will be issued next year. The event was held at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in Simi Valley.

Officials said 170 million of the special, highly anticipated commemorative stamps were being printed.

The photo above represents the image that will be created. Each painting is slightly different because each artist analyzes and sees different aspects of President Reagan's character, along with slightly different techniques.
